Lake & Sustainability Committee — Lake Cherokee Neighborhood Association

Purpose

Protect and enhance the health, beauty, and long-term sustainability of Lake Cherokee and surrounding green spaces. Monitor environmental concerns, support beautification efforts, and promote responsible stewardship of community resources.

Immediate priorities

Identify and prioritize projects for consideration in the 2027 City of Orlando Mayor's Matching Grant application (Deadline: September 11).
Promote the City of Orlando Free Street Tree Program (Deadline: September 30).
Evaluate opportunities through Orange County's Neighborhood Beautification Grant and Sustainable Communities Grant programs.
Schedule a neighborhood lake cleanup.

Lake and shoreline cleanups

Coordination with city agencies on lake-related concerns
