Seeking members

Purpose

Promote a safe, accessible, and well-maintained neighborhood by supporting public safety initiatives, identifying community concerns, advocating for improvements, and fostering partnerships with local government and public safety agencies.

Immediate priorities

  • Help plan and volunteer recruitment for National Night Out (October 6).
  • Launch the Lake Cherokee Neighborhood Watch Program.
  • Identify projects that may qualify for City of Orlando & Orange County grants.

Subcommittees

  • Neighborhood Watch

    This committee works with OPD to establish and support the Lake Cherokee Neighborhood Watch Program.

Time commitment: 1-4 hours per month

Meetings: As needed (virtual, hybrid, or in person) with ongoing coordination through Slack.

Volunteers needed: Chair, Co-Chair, Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, Block Captains, and 3-5 additional committee members
